At the 2019 Research Conference, we had the opportunity to interview CNCS researchers and industry partners for a video discussion on the role of research and evaluation in national programs.

ORE oversees these four areas by conducting primary and sponsored research and evaluation, supporting the evaluation of provider research and programs, and promoting evidence-based service models. All of this data feeds into the CNCS software and helps people understand the work in that country. One of the company's partners, Dr. Rebecca Frazier from JBS International very succinctly presented the benefits of research and analysis,

"I think we're in a time where evidence is important, and we have limited funding, and you have to prioritize. You have to think about what works and put your money there, and I think evaluation is how we know what works ." ."

Research and evaluation at CNCS reinforces the important work of our national programs using empirical data. Our research measures what works and what doesn't work as well as expected so that CNCS can be better stewards of funds and dedicated resources. programs.
