It is not the most natural handling safety, but it is not difficult to switch to the blank position when the pistol reaches the target. Also not found in the .380 ACP pistol is the magazine safety.

The gun will not fire if the magazine is not in place. I don't really have a preference for magazine safety, but this is the only gun I own that is safe, other than the Browning High Power.

Pistol magazines are light enough to load, but not as light as some of the larger .22 caliber rifles. The magazine holds 10 rounds, which is an impressive reserve for a small handgun.

The LCP II Lite Rack .22 includes a safety that is not part of the LCPII .380 ACP version.
