Glock 44 Recall - No hot ammo. There are ordinary 38 or 40 gram ammunition. With all due respect, the glock can handle any ammo it may or may not be made of. I don't need to worry about +P in my 9 and .45. Thank you.
Thanks for the information. I bought one a few weeks ago. I'm really looking forward to this. Mine has been fine with me so far, but issues like this worry me. I've owned several rifles, but I've never come across anything like this.

Glock 44 And Other Questions
Does anyone else notice that the barrel is threaded on the end? Or do they all have that taper cut?
The pusher adds back pressure to the groove/slider, maybe a stock tube skip adds stress to the poly-slides?
Mine does not look like the photo. We noticed that the barrel in the photos is threaded. Is my statement wrong?
Maybe his gun was used and someone added that threaded barrel, maybe it knocked out the silencer home plate? There seems to be something missing from that description and photo.
Glock 44…are They Problematic?
Unless Glock sells them with a threaded barrel stock, doesn't it look like a "box stock" as described? I haven't seen it yet. As a "firearms instructor" he could probably tell if the barrel was threaded or not.
I guess, for shooting .22 rimfire ammo, I'll have to stick with my old fashioned, tried and true Ruger Mark I, II and III pistols. Son of a gun, that's right, I have a modern design Ruger Mark IV that says "Even a caveman can mount and turn properly."
The OP definitely doesn't have the original barrel. The only threaded barrel I know of is available from Glock. I wonder if he suppresses his G44.

Here is a picture of my G44 with the stock barrel. I have 3,000 rounds through it and no signs of cracks or other issues.
Well AWC Nexuss lll Can is missing from my other pictures of Glocks. Sorry, I'm not a good photographer. This is a great shot of the barrel that was in it. If I'm using a Glock threaded barrel, what does that matter? Box stock as I said. I would tell you if I use a can....why not. No mufflers here bro.
Sorry guys, the stock barrel is poorly lit here, sorry the first set isn't clear. I actually know several instructors who use 44 cans with no problems. Sorry for the confusion, we got a little carried away with 6 more shooters to go.
That doesn't mean it won't or won't happen. Yours is the first I've seen fail like that. The only other defects were cracks around the ejector. And those failures are not many.

I know some people have put 10,000 or more rounds through their G44 with no problems.
I agree. I'll get another one, it's the best practice gun I've ever owned. Anything mass produced has two bad things. I was going through it. I use a lot of cans and I would say that. Thanks guys.
SS 58 said: View Link 820516 View Link 820516 Hello. I joined this forum because I am an instructor and I will preface this by owning several Glocks. I love them but I have to share this. I bought the 44 for state CT training in the NRA Basic Pistol Class. I put 2000 rd in my 44. I clean it after every session. It basically exploded today. I wanted to share this because luckily no one was hurt. We moved the crack. I hope the pictures will come. Thank you. Sam Click to expand... Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've heard something similar or worse. A while ago there was a thread about the G44 exploding after 200 rounds. Glock really needs to recall or upgrade parts of this gun. I think they are more comfortable because it has less capacity. Just a few weeks ago, Glock released its first rifle in .22LR, and the Glock 44 releases seem to be growing already.
It was met with both praise and derision from various parts of the gun community. Although the Glock 19-caliber rimfire pistol received mixed reviews, it was popular with people around the world. Finally, an OEM option for budget training using existing cases and accessories.

Recently, posts have been popping up on social media showing all sorts of problems with the new Glock 44. They range from cracked slides, broken ejectors, and exploding batteries. I first noticed the problem from a post on the military weapons channel earlier today. After that, I saw posts from multiple sources with multiple problems.
Glock 44 Exploded ...... Let's see Glock explain
Of course, more data needs to be collected to see what the underlying problems might be. Bad metal with slides? Poor ammo selection leads to high pressure or load skipping?
Regardless of the issue, Glock 44 owners should keep an eye on their pistols while on the range. If you find a problem, put the gun down and contact the company for warranty work. We will update you as more information regarding these matters emerges.

My wife likes to participate in shooting and carry a gun. She likes a semi-auto 22 for training and comfort. All available in my area for immediate purchase are Glock 44. My question is has Glock fixed the early problems yet? My dealer has three new ones arriving tomorrow and they should be the latest products. Are they still safe to buy?
What are the early complications? The only magazines I know of are magazine related and have to do with proper placement of the rounds in the mag and the angle of the top round. I always check before plugging in the Mac.
Mine even beats the Remington, but I've only put a few thousand rounds through it in the two months I've had it.
