Glock 19 Precio - The original is still very good when it comes to Gen 3, my wife and I had a great time with it out of the box. Forgiving and a bit simpler, it doesn't take much to pull off well. The 2k tungsten lead bullets feel solid, and with a set of aftermarket sights it's probably a longer range gun. Easy to learn because it's not big for anyone but smaller hidden pieces.
I bought a gen 117 in the late 80's early 90's. I've run it through several cycles and it works like a champ every time. I have many guns. But it's my stash carry and my goto.

This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. I know there are many, and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the light, thin, visible full-size Glock 17 Gen 4 feels great with a backstrap, including the beavertail, as NATO FMJs are good practice and are not waste. High pressure for affordable practice ammunition. I usually use NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 models, but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet, and I'm generally more comfortable with the work force size Gen 4 Glocks. A better recoil assembly could help with FTE exhaust or ejection issues.
Probably the best poly gun ever! Look at how many LE groups around the world trust the Glock 17. You can't get that kind of approval if you don't get the little things right! The reliability of the G17 is unquestionable; so what's not to like? Ugly gun? Take a look at. Not the cleanest or lightest trigger switch on the market? Take a look at. The original "plastic" gun? Take a look at. Front and rear factory sights that...hmmm?...not the best? Take a look at. Going every time and throwing bullets at the target like a champ? Try that too. Do you survive and thrive through years and years of torture tests imposed by many different organizations, police departments and militaries? And that would be a check. If you've never trusted your life to a Glock 17, you'll never be able to appreciate the comfort that so many seasoned law enforcement and civilians alike have in having one by their side. Get one. You'll see what I mean.

I bought my G17, Gen4 to have a single action 9mm for use at the range. Before this I was shooting a double action .40 cal. Ease of shooting and feel are excellent. It includes back straps of different sizes, which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Flat Face trigger assembly, extended slide release, and optical sights. However, it shoots great right out of the box. All in all, I have about $900 for this gun, and I feel the price is worth it for my preferences. Fits well in my hand, accurate, minimal feedback, crisp trigger break and quick reset, good balance and reliable. The draw from the holster is smooth, but not too much for concealed carry. Excellent at weapon range and used during capture operations. I highly recommend this gun for the new or experienced shooter.
I never had a great gun in the jams trying to make it look like it would fire 4 18 rounds as fast as possible and it wouldn't touch and it was also very fair with accuracy
I have owned my Gen4 Glock 17 for several years and feel it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the "Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly" and optical sights. These options only add to the capabilities of this runway. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail provide excellent feel and comfort. Due to the angle and size of the design, it is comfortable and smooth to grip well from the draw. Needless to say, this is critical for speed in achieving sight alignment for a quick look at the target. As a duty gun, it's lightweight because you won't get tired of carrying a heavy gun all day. On the field or during maneuvers, the accuracy is excellent. Right or left handed shooting is not a problem as it is well balanced. Whether I'm aiming accurately or shooting rapidly, I've never made a mistake. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this gun for home defense, duty, or even competitive shooting.

This time it was in 2015 when my friends and I got into a situation where we didn't have any oil or detergent, and neither of them will arrive anytime soon. It was a British weapon and we were glad we didn't have to clean the guns, and also, whining like a two-stroke engine, the gun wouldn't fire after a few rounds. It seems I got up close and personal and this thing just kept going and going and going through the whole relationship. To this day I still dream about this gun that was given to me and how it saved my life.
It can't crash just by keeping the carbon in your parts and setting it up. The sights drove me crazy, but when you're in the power of pushing a gun, guess what. It works. Thanks for my life Glock :).
I have had my Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I use it as my duty for several reasons; stability, accuracy, flexibility, weight, lap count, balance, etc. The only modifications I have made to my gun are; Pyramid mount, TruGlo optical sights, steel competition recoil spring and grip band. All of these items were purchased through the store. The “back strap” option is great for the gun in my hand. Along with several other handguns, the Glock 17 Gen 4 is my "go to" handgun and I always feel confident when it's by my side.
Yep, the Gen 2 G17 never missed a beat. I switched to newer magazines. The original magazines are starting to crack. I replaced the springs and changed the linkage. I probably put in 3000 rounds and I would bet on that. I now have 5 Glocks and have never had a problem with one of them.
